The decision is finally made to begin harvesting the fruit!
We pick the Merlot ourselves with the help of our friends.
Left: For the rest of the vineyard, we hire extra hands to work
with us.
This is one of the "mules" that we use on the farm;
this one ready to be used for harvesting.
The small picking pans are filled by the crew and dumped into
the larger micro bin.
The micro bins are then stacked, strapped to a trailer and transported
to the winery.
